Advocating for the rights of students with disabilities
& their families
Meet the Advocate
Anne Roque is a professional non-attorney special education advocate who is determined to ensure a free appropriate public education for your child. She firmly believes that with the right support and services, students with disabilities can rise up and reach their highest potential.
While in elementary school, Anne was classified with difficulties in speech and math, but with hard work and the appropriate support and services, she went from resource to honor classes. She eventually graduated magna cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor's in history and a Master's in Secondary Education, and obtained a Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification from New Jersey City University. In addition, she taught special education and history in various New Jersey high schools for four years.
She is currently an active member of COPAA, and a paralegal at a special education law firm in New Jersey.
